SurveyTime Review 2023

What is SurveyTime?

SurveyTime is a free survey platform that pays users a dollar to share their opinions and thoughts on products and services.

It was established in 2018 by Persona.ly, a global ad tech company.

SurveyTime gathers user data and consolidates the information so companies can use it to improve their products or services.

The data also helps organizations create new products that meet the needs of their target audience.

These companies then pay SurveyTime to collect this valuable information on their behalf.

How Does SurveyTime Work?

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to get started with SurveyTime.

1.) Sign Up For SurveyTime

The first step is to create a SurveyTime account. You can register with your Google or Facebook account or an email address.

Unlike other survey sites, SurveyTime generates a password for you.

I don’t know why they do this, but it may be to speed up the registration process by instantly generating one that meets the site’s security standards.

After signing up, you will get a confirmation email with the generated password. You must confirm your email to get your rewards.

2.) Answer Profiler Questions

Next, you will answer a few introductory questions to help the app know you better and find the most relevant surveys.

I was asked 31 questions, including:

  • Race
  • Family
  • Income
  • Gender
  • Birthdate
  • Marital status
  • Job occupation
  • Education level
  • Area of residence

Some of the questions seemed weird.

For example, I was asked, “Of the ice cream flavors listed below, one may be your favorite? However, we would like you to select tennis to continue”.

If they already tell me how to answer it, how is that a question?

Also, is there an ice cream flavor called Tennis?

In other SurveyTime reviews, users claim to have been asked a question more than once, which is weird.

The site may have done that intentionally to check the consistency of your answers and ensure you answer surveys honestly.

3.) Complete Surveys

After answering the profile questions, it is time to complete the surveys you have qualified for.

The number of surveys you qualify for depends on how you’ve answered the profile questions and your location.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about your location.

However, ensure you give detailed feedback on all profiler questions to increase your chances of getting surveys.

So, while the site pays a dollar for a survey, sometimes you will have to complete a survey for a lower amount, say, $0.5.

However, they will notify you before you get started.

When I finished signing up, the system had a survey that matched my profile.

But before I started answering the survey questions, I was asked if I would be willing to participate in a $0.5 easier survey, to which I agreed.

You may face several issues while completing the survey.

For example, some users claim the site screened them out after answering the first survey question.

Others claim they haven’t yet received an email about the survey. Sometimes, the site forgets to send an email notification.

So, if you haven’t received an email notification, frequently log in to your SurveyTime account to never miss out on surveys.

Also, ensure you turn on your desktop to be alerted when one pops up.

Once you complete your survey, you will be directed to the rewards page, where you can choose your payment method and receive your payment instantly.

SurveyTime Payment Options

SurveyTime’s payment options depend on your location. My options were PayPal, Bitcoin, Amazon, and Target.

I chose PayPal because it is easy to use. Next, I had to verify my phone number. The site claims you have to do this to protect your rewards.

So, to verify your phone number, you will receive a code in a text message. After verifying, you will receive an email that says you have received your survey reward.

SurveyTime Tricks: How to Get More Surveys on SurveyTime

As seen in most SurveyTime reviews, qualifying for surveys takes work. However, you can get more surveys on SurveyTime with a few tricks.

  • Fill in your profile thoroughly and accurately.
  • Agree to take part in surveys that require a webcam.
  • Use your mobile phone to complete surveys on the go.
  • Read the instructions and questions carefully to provide accurate answers.
  • Join surveys quickly. The sooner you join, the higher your chances of qualifying.
  • Consistently answer the questionnaires to prevent disqualification from surveys.
  • Use the exact location you used when signing up. Don’t use a VPN; they will know.
  • Avoid answers like “I don’t know”,  “Other”, No Opinion”, etc. Provide valuable feedback.
  • Enable email and push notifications on your profile to be notified immediately when a new survey opportunity arises.

Does SurveyTime Offer User Support?

SurveyTime offers support via email ([email protected]) and FAQs.

Browse their FAQs section to learn:

  • How the platform works
  • How long does a survey take?
  • Where to redeem your $1 reward?
  • What happens if you fail to complete a survey?
  • How and when will you be notified of new surveys?

As per most SurveyTime reviews, the support email is almost unreliable.

Most users suggest contacting support by emailing them at [email protected].

Some review sites stated that SurveyTime has a Facebook page, but the official website doesn’t mention it.

There are several SurveyTime Facebook pages, but none of them are verified. Also, the one with the most followers isn’t updated.

If you have issues changing the website language, you can change it by clicking the round button at your top right counter.

When compiling this review, the site was available in English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese.

On Quora, it is a battle over whether the site is a scam or legit.

Is SurveyTime Worth It?

SurveyTime is worth it for anyone looking for instant cash or supplementing their income with an easy online side hustle and wanting to get paid for their opinion.

However, it isn’t worth it if you want to make significant cash online. You are better off with other ways to make money online.

SurveyTime Alternatives

SurveyTime vs Swagbucks

Swagbucks allows users to make money online by answering paid surveys, completing polls, etc.

Unlike SurveyTime, Swagbucks doesn’t create a password on your behalf. You will have to create one while signing up.

Also, Swagbucks doesn’t pay you in US dollars. After completing a survey, you earn Swagbucks (SB) points. 100 SB equals 1 US dollar.

Most surveys on Swagbucks take up to 15 minutes, during which you can earn $0.05 to $2.50. It’s also possible to earn $25 as a loyalty bonus.

You can redeem SB points for PayPal cash, gift cards to your favorite retailers, or a check in the mail.

Unlike SurveyTime, SwagBucks isn’t available worldwide.

Only those over 13 years old living in the US, Ireland, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, India, Canada, Spain, Portugal, and the UK can join.

SurveyTime vs Branded Surveys

Branded Surveys is a marketing research firm that pays for your opinions.

After signing up with either Google or Facebook, you will be awarded 50 points.

You will also receive an extra 50 points for completing the extended profile. One hundred points equals a dollar.

The minimum you can redeem for cash or gift cards is $500. Once you have collected enough points, you can withdraw cash via PayPal or bank transfer.

Like Survyetime, Branded Surveys has a mobile app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Unfortunately, the site is only available to people over 16 years old living in the US, UK, and Canada.

While SurveyTime offers only one way to earn money, Branded Surveys offers numerous options. They include:

  • Daily polls
  • Poll streak
  • Survey streak
  • Refer a friend
  • Leaderboard bonuses

SurveyTime vs InboxDollars

InboxDollars works on a real-cash reward system rather than a point system.  Its payment options include regular vouchers, checks, and Amazon gift cards.

Besides completing online surveys, InboxDollars pays you to play games online, read emails, shop, and watch videos.

The website is available only in the US and UK. Only those over the age of 18 can complete InboxDollars surveys. So, minors are better off with SurveyTime.

SurveyTime vs Surveyunkie

SurveyJunkie awards you points for each completed survey.

The number of points you earn depends on the survey’s length.

For example, long questionnaires may earn you $50, while you may need to take home $3 for short surveys.

Users can withdraw their earnings once they collect at least $5 in rewards.

When you hit the payout threshold, your points can be transferred to PayPal, cash, or a gift card.

Survey Junkie is only available to 18-year-olds in the US, Canada, and Australia.
