What’s more, some of the platform’s clients like Amazon, easyJet, and ESPN are renowned companies that you’d expect to do their due diligence before associating themselves with a job board.

That and the fact that Remote OK has been around since 2015 are proof that it is a credible company with credible job openings.

Most scam sites get found out within a few years and are forced to close down or switch to new domains.

The platform also offers a menu of filters that you can use to find the exact job you are looking for.

Here’s what the Remote OK homepage looks like:

You can either browse the listings as they appear or conduct a search using the search bar and filter the results by location, salary range, benefits, and job tier.

For instance, if you are looking for a software engineer job, you will just need to select Engineer from the menu of options that appears when you click on the search bar.

The results are all jumbled up as you can see. You can go ahead and state your preferred salary range if you wish to shrink the results further like I did here:

All these jobs pay at least $100k per year. If you want the highest paying jobs or perhaps the most applied or latest ones, the isolated Sort by feature at the top right side of your screen will come in handy.

Do you need to sign up to use the site? I can see why you would want to know that. The number of data mining companies disguised as job boards out there is alarmingly high.

Some are legit job sites but will still sell your information and set you up for email spamming.

All applications take place in a third party sites, which means Remote OK won’t be responsible for what happens once you consider a job worth applying for.

Also, it’s likely that the hiring teams in the said third party sites will ask you to provide the very information you have on your Remote OK profile, so always be ready to go about the process again and again.

Reviews and Complaints

Remote OK doesn’t do much besides listing jobs and giving jobseekers access to them. As such, there are not many extreme opinions about it.

On Product Hunt, the site has an average rating of 3.3 stars out of 5, and it seems most of the negative reviews are from recruiters, who can’t make sense of the $599 posting fee and the site’s apparently poor design.

This should be a matter of individual conscience. But if our judgment was to be based on how Remote OK stacks up against close competitors, then it would pass as one of the best in the game.
